Our Lord Jesus Christ paint a marvellous portrait of the Heavenly Father for us.
He didn't draw it, He told a wonderful story.
There was a father who had two sons. The younger one asked for his share of the property and left the home. In a far country he squandered his wealth in "loose living" and found himself in dire poverty. But he looked at himself, came to his senses, repented of his sins, and resolved to return home. The father received him with joy and made a family feast in celebration.
NOTICE:
The father permitted the son to leave; he didn't interfere with his free will. The father was generous with what he gave the son. The father never forgot the son after he left. The father worried about him, and went daily looking up the road for his return. The father rejoiced when the son came back. The father forgave the son completely at his repentance. The father received him back as son, in full fellowship, and made a feast of joy for him.
WHAT A PORTRAIT OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER !!!
