PASCHA!

ХРИСТОС ВОСКРЕСЕ!

ВОИСТИНУ ВОСКРЕСЕ!

PASCHA! The Passover of the Lord! And again I say the word in honour of the Trinity: PASCHA!

For us this is the Feast of feasts and Holiday of holidays. Pascha surpasses not only all human feats, but even the feasts of Christ as the light of the sun surpasses in brilliance the light of the moon.

PASCHA is the salvation of the world, both visible and invisible. Christ rose from the dead, so you too can rise with Him. Christ is in His glory, so you too can be. Christ came out of the tomb, so that you too, can be freed from the bonds of sin.

Let us be like Christ, who became like us. Let us become 'gods' in Him, for he became a man. He accepted the lessor, so that we might gain the greater. H became a slave, that we might be set free. He came down, that we might rise up. He accepted inglorious insults, that we might receive glory. He died, that we might live. He ascended to heaven, that he might bring to Himself those who had fallen.

Let us give all, offer all, to Him who gave Himself as a Ransom and Reconciliation for us. One can give nothing greater then onself, understanding this Mystery. Let us become like Him for His sake, as all that he became for ours...

St Gregory the Theologian.
